Barroom Philosophers

"What is the best way to live life? Who has the answers?" Paul does! Or does he? Years of separating himself from society may have just given him the perspective he needs. Or maybe years of drinking himself to sleep at night just makes him think he does. Now, Paul faces a group of strangers who have all the questions in the world, and at the end of the day, Paul may have the answers they are seeking, or he may just have an unpaid bar tab.

A Midsummer Nightmare

A MIDSUMMER NIGHTMARE premiered July 2017 at the Nugget Fringe Festival

A Midsummer Nightmare

In an alternate universe, William Shakespeare was a film director in the 1950s. Having opportunities to direct shows like Plan 9 from Outer Space and Attack of the Giant Leeches, Shakespeare instead aimed his sites at fairy tales and young love. In this brief re-imagining, Jaye Vocque writes as if Shakespeare channeled Ed Wood, Jr and created a fantastical tale based on the original work, A Midsummer Night's Dream. This performance includes such B-Movie staples like bad lighting, laughable sound, and cheap props. And new to this production only, it will be PRESENTED IN 4-D! The sights and smells come alive for the audience!

SIMULATED HYPOTHESIS

THE FUTURE OF THEATRE IS ARTIFICAL

We at Ultrasuede Productions  recently purchased a brand spanking new wireless printer. After hooking it up, we found a file stuck in the queue. This file was a script, time stamped 2099. Upon reading this script it became very apparent that it was written by Artificial Intelligence.

It can only be described as a Fairy Tale told by a computer to it's robot baby. Everything, even the title is familiar yet foreign. Philosophical, yet nonsensical. Real, yet simulated.

It is a show from the future, written by the future. And the future of theatre is artificial
